A Process Group for Growth
+ Camaraderie

Anchored Men is a professionally led process group for adult males who are navigating the complexities of life—marriage, parenthood, career, friendship, family, faith, and personal identity.Whether you need support or challenge, this group offers a confidential and grounded space to process real life, connect meaningfully, and grow intentionally.Facilitated by Michael Kanner, LPC, CPCS at Anchored Mind, this group provides a space for authentic community and personal reflection with clinical integration in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.

When: Monday Mornings @ 7am or Wednesday Evenings @ 7pm

Timeline: Sep 14 - Nov 30 / Sep 16 - Dec 2

Where: Anchored Mind - 1265 Minhinette Dr, Roswell, GA 30075

Fee: $149 per month x 3 (12 group sessions)

*Attendance is NOT mandatory, but strongly encouraged to support the group’s consistency and cohesion.

• A balance of professional guidance and spiritual reflection

Who It’s For:

Men navigating the demands of adulthood who want to grow emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. All faith backgrounds are welcome.

Tentative Weekly Guidance

• Check-In (10 min): Brief emotional status + energy level

• Theme Exploration (15–20 min): quote, question, or topic

• Group Process (35–40 min): open processing, feedback, interaction

• Wrap-Up (5–10 min): reflection, challenge, preview of next week

Week 1 – Orientation & Building Safety

• Theme: Why we’re here & what we need from each other

• Activities: Group agreements, confidentiality, what makes group work powerful

• Prompt: “What brought you here—and what are you hoping to find?”

Week 2 – Identity & Roles

• Theme: Who am I beyond my responsibilities?

• Activity: “Masks we wear” discussion

• Prompt: “Where do I feel most like myself—and where do I lose myself?”

Week 3 – Emotions 101

• Theme: Naming and understanding emotional experience

• Activity: Emotion wheel + group check-in using emotional language

• Prompt: “Which emotions are easiest—and hardest—for you to share?”

Week 4 – Stress & Pressure

• Theme: How do I carry pressure, and where do I put it?

• Activity: Mind-body connection, somatic check-in

• Prompt: “Where does stress show up for you—and what do you usually do with it?”

Week 5 – Relationships: Intimacy & Distance

• Theme: Exploring connection and disconnection in key relationships

• Prompt: “What helps you feel close to others—and what gets in the way?”

Week 6 – Conflict & Boundaries

• Theme: How we handle disagreement and protect what matters

• Prompt: “How do you typically show up in conflict—fight, freeze, or flee?”

Week 7 – Shame & Self-Worth

• Theme: The voice inside and how we carry judgment

• Activity: Group process around self-talk and vulnerability

• Prompt: “What do you fear people would think if they really knew you?”• Theme: The voice inside and how we carry judgment

• Activity: Group process around self-talk and vulnerability

• Prompt: “What do you fear people would think if they really knew you?”

Week 8 – Legacy & Fatherhood

• Theme: The men who shaped us and the men we want to become

• Prompt: “What did you receive—or not receive—from the men who raised you?”

Week 9 – Faith, Meaning & Inner Life

• Theme: What grounds you? Spirituality, values, belief systems

• Prompt: “What does faith or meaning look like for you right now?”

Week 10 – Isolation vs. Connection

• Theme: The cost of going it alone

• Prompt: “Where in your life do you feel most connected—and most alone?”

Week 11 – Courage & Change

• Theme: Where do I want to grow, and what’s getting in the way?

• Prompt: “What’s one risk you’re feeling called to take?”

Week 12 – Reflection & Closure

• Theme: What’s changed? What’s next?

• Activity: Affirmation circle, personal reflections

• Prompt: “What have you learned—and what do you want to carry forward?”
