I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, ADHD, relationship concerns, pregnancy, postpartum, and life transitions. Clients often come in feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure how to make sense of what they are experiencing. Many clients live their lives incredibly disconnected from their internal experience. My job is to create a safe environment where clients feel able to explore their internal experiences in order to understand how they are impacting their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
I am passionate about working with children and teens as they navigate who they are, who they want to be, and the reasons behind their unwanted behaviors. I work to build self-compassion, educate teens and children about emotions, and be a supportive space for them.
I help adults become more mindful of how their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are interconnected, as well as guide them through relationship issues and life transitions. Clients often come in feeling stuck or overwhelmed by their unwanted behaviors and emotions — my job is to help them find more clarity and direction in how to feel safe in their body and mind through somatic experiencing, CBT, and DBT.
My style is grounded in empathy and non judgment, as I believe safety and trust are built on these things. My style of therapy is a mix of allowing the client to lead the session while still being structured. I check in often with my clients about the trajectory of therapy, how we are moving closer to their goals, and what parts of therapy they need us to adjust. I am warm, supportive, and attentive. I want clients to feel secure, understood, and gently supported as they process their experiences, build coping skills, and move towards healthier patterns.
