Who I help

I work with people at many different points in their yoga, fitness, and mindfulness journey—from someone stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time to experienced movers who want to develop a more intentional relationship with their bodies.

As a former competitive dancer and gymnast, I understand both the benefits and the demands that can come with highly physical movement. That experience shapes the way I teach today. I especially enjoy working with current and former dancers, competitive athletes, and people who want to build or rebuild strength without feeling like they need to constantly push toward their maximum range of motion.

I also enjoy supporting people who are returning to movement after injury or a difficult season, including individuals with a history of back injuries who have been appropriately cleared for exercise. My goal is to help you explore movement in a way that prioritizes body awareness, control, strength, and anatomical safety rather than forcing your body into a particular shape.

For those who carry significant stress, feel disconnected from their bodies, or want movement to support greater regulation and presence, I incorporate breathwork, meditation, and somatic-inspired movement into the practice.

Yoga can still be a workout.

It can also be a place to slow down enough to notice what is happening inside.

What it’s like to work with me

My classes blend strength and softness.

You can expect purposeful Vinyasa movement that builds heat, strength, mobility, and muscle control, alongside moments that encourage you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what your body is communicating.

Rather than focusing on achieving the deepest expression of a pose, I prioritize anatomical safety and quality of movement. Every body is different, and I believe the goal of yoga is not to make everyone look the same.

I encourage students to move with curiosity rather than comparison.

That may mean working within a smaller range of motion, modifying a posture, pausing for a breath, or choosing a different variation entirely. I want you to develop the confidence to recognize what supports your body rather than feeling pressured to perform.

My teaching also incorporates practices from the broader tradition of yoga, including pranayama, meditation, mindfulness, and exploration of the eight limbs of yoga. These elements allow the practice to become more than a physical sequence and create opportunities for greater awareness both on and off the mat.

My hope is that you leave class feeling strong and worked—but also more grounded, more connected to your body, and more aware of what you need.

Outside the office

Yoga is an important part of my life outside of teaching as well. I maintain a regular personal practice and love continuing to learn by taking classes whenever I can.

When I'm not on the mat, I enjoy spending time in nature, discovering new coffee shops, reading, going for walks, and traveling whenever possible.
