Who I help
  • Adults struggling with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, black-and-white thinking, life changes, career changes, and searching for meaning, purpose and legitimate connection in an age of loneliness.
  • Young and middle-aged professionals looking to reshape their identities and address historic patterns that are no longer serving them.
  • Adults who are struggling to “drink as they pour.”
What it’s like to work with me
  • I come from a 20-year career as an actuary where data was king; I understand technical mindsets and the nuances of the Corporate world. I also know that the data and technical accuracy won't fix personal or relational challenges. I thrive in helping people discover what they truly need to flourish.
  • I focus on here-and-now interactions in sessions as microcosms for how clients relate to the broader world.
  • Working from attachment theory, existentialism, and narrative therapy, I help clients rewrite harmful stories and break out of long-established patterns with curiosity and encouragement.
Training, certifications, and credentials
  • Counseling Intern.
  • Master’s Level Clinical Mental Health Counseling Student, Mercer University. Anticipated graduation August 2027.
  • Bachelor of Arts, Emory University, Joint Mathematics and Economics
A good fit if…
  • You are struggling with loneliness, meaning, and purpose in a hybrid work, post-covid world.
  • You are a professional for whom your perfectionism, control, anxiety, and depression no longer are serving you.
  • You are going through changes in role, identity, career, and values.
  • You feel stuck and want to be met with warmth and empathy, encouraged, all while being nudged toward deep reflection.
  • You want a fellow journeyman to help you rewrite your story and see underneath your masks.
  • You appreciate a counselor who is LGBTQIA-affirming.
Outside the office

Outside of counseling, Erica is an avid yogi, reader, knitter, swimmer, and occasional gourmet cook. She is blessed to find daily joy with her hubby of 20 years and 2 bonded cats after removing the shackles of perfectionism.
