Emily Ruggles is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP). As the Counseling Director at Anchored Mind, Emily brings over a decade of experience supporting clients through meaningful personal growth and healing.
Emily believes therapy is a space to feel seen, heard, and supported — a place for honest reflection and growth. She practices from an integrative lens that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit, helping clients find balance and alignment in their healing process.
She specializes in working with young adults and teens navigating major life transitions such as independence, identity, and relationships. Emily has extensive experience supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and dating or relationship concerns. She understands the unique pressures that often accompany this stage of life and helps clients build resilience, self-understanding, and confidence.
In addition to her work with young adults, Emily provides counseling for individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries and those managing chronic health conditions. Having worked closely with collegiate and professional athletes, she understands the complex intersection between physical performance, identity, and mental health. Emily is passionate about helping clients uncover their strengths, reconnect with their sense of purpose, and cultivate lasting well-being.
Emily earned her Master’s in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Nonprofit Studies from Auburn University. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs and goals.
